In just a few hours, the journey will begin. After a bus ride, three plane rides, and some layover time in airports, we’ll finally set foot on the African soil… some 30 hours later! I’m sure we’ll have some good times of fellowship, some funny stories to tell, and hopefully some opportunities to minister while we’re in route, but make no mistake about it… the transportation is simply a necessary means to an end. God has been preparing us for Kenya for months now. He’s opened our heart to His call. He’s given us a vision for the task. He’s generously provided the resources that are making the vision a reality. He’s grown our faith through trials & testing, so that we will more readily trust and obey. He has supplied us with His inerrant word and His indwelling Spirit to be our manual and guide. And He has drawn us close to Him so that He can produce fruit through us.
We don’t know what awaits us en route, or even once we arrive at our destination. Sure, we’ve got our schedules and we’ve got our plans, but we really don’t know what to expect. The good news is that we know our God. He has proven Himself faithful time and again. So, we will choose to trust Him and His providence. We will remember that “the mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs His steps” (Prov. 16:9). We will strive to “trust in Him with all our heart and lean not on our own understanding; acknowledging Him in all our ways so that He will direct our steps” (Prov. 3:5-6 ). We will depend upon the truth of His word as a “lamp to our feet and a light to our path” (Psalm 119:105). And we will rejoice in the fact that “He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion” (Phil. 1:6). What is it that He will bring to completion? We’ll just have to wait and see… and so will you! Whatever it is, it’s sure gonna be good! So, keep reading and taking every step of this journey with us and keep praying for God to do big things for His name’s sake. Press on!
P.S. If you haven’t done so, we’d love for you to print out the prayer guide that you’ll find a few posts down this page, so that you can pray for specific needs each day of our trip. Thanks!
- Daryl

The time is here!
I cannot believe I am getting to say this, but tomorrow I and twelve other people will be on our way to Kenya! I am so blessed for the slight FACT that God is using me and twelve other people to spread His good news overseas! I would just like to say thank you ahead of time for all of the prayers and everything! God is so good!

Thank You!!!
I am filled up with the fullness of joy when I think of you and the sacrifices you have made for the furtherance of the Gospel. I want to thank our leaders who have a vision to take the Gospel to the outer most parts of the earth. I want to thank our teachers who by faithfully teaching each Sunday have prepared our hearts to be obedient to God’s call. I want to thank the prayer warriors who have interceded and are interceding daily for God’s power and protection. I want to thank those who labor and toil and give sacrificially to make this trip happen. I want to thank children who sacrificed their whole life savings for this trip. I want to thank each of the families who have allowed their youth to “go into to all the world and make disciples”. I especially want to thank my husband Randy for the many sacrifices he has made so that our family could participate in the great commission. I want to thank Maisie and Meggie for being an example to me to trust God’s provision. I want to thank my parents, Wallace and Sharon Williams for supporting my decision to go.
15 You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone; 16 for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs. 17 Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account. 18 But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. 19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 20 Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Great is your reward!

Pray For Us, Please!
We're less than four weeks away from our trip! Hopefully, you've already begun partnering with us in prayer. If not, now's the time! If you have, we want to help you know how you can be praying for us. The following link will take you to a prayer guide that you can print out and keep close by. It will give you things to pray for as we prepare for our trip and a guide for each day that we're gone. The link is http://fbceastman.com/clientimages/29093/kenya%20prayer%20guide.pdf. Thank you so much for investing your prayers in us. We sure wouldn't want to do this without them! “The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.” - James 5:16b
