Whoever said "being a Christian isn't fun" is nuts! Here's just a few examples:
Pic 1: Aboard our first flight... giddy with excitement!
Pic 2: Jason "falling" off a mountain we climbed!
Pic 3: The team at a giant boaboab tree (look for Daryl in the tree)!
Pic 4: Jason... being Jason!
Pic 5: The Fluff Monster grabs another tickle victim!
Pic 6: Paige, Anna, & Arnold "dancing" for Jesus in Kamuwango!
Pic 7: More dancing... this may have been a mistake to try, but it was fun!
Pic 8: The baby porcupine Aron found - their quills aren't sharp at that age!
Pic 9: Aron & All the rest of us got to hold the cutie for a picture!
Pic 10: Zach, with help from Aron, hunting one of the many gheckos in Mwingi.
Pic 11: Some of our group at world-renowned Carnivore Restaurant!
Pic 12: Arnold a couple of hours before he entered his protein-induced coma!
No doubt multitudes of Gods angels landed with you and are walking around as this team takes care of business for our Lord. Do you suppose it might have been them that kicked up all that dust? Stranger things have happened and even though satan tried to use it of course he was defeated. Glory to God.
ReplyDeleteJason, you are beginning to remind me of those high jumping Maisai we talked about. Loved
the pictures. All look so happy in them, what a
wonderful group you all are. Praise God, we praise His Holy name. What a blessing helping those children is, and each of you seem at peace and love givers. The 3 leaders appear to be getting younger, thank you for everything.
All is fine at home. Praying always for you all
and the ones you are helping.
Love Nana
Yes, give Daryl a tree and he will (attempt to) climb it! I've seen these Baobabs in pictures and videos (remember our "Planet Earth" videos?!), but never really realized just how gi-normous that thing is!! Yet another "WOW"!! And just like that tree, sometimes we don't realize just how BIG our God is . . . until we're walking right beside Him. I know y'all are "seeing" that . . .
ReplyDeleteWish I was there with y'all . . .
Love y'all much!!
Ms. Julia
Awesome. I haven't been able to check out anything on here this weekend b/c of how busy I've been, but I just got through looking at all the posts I've missed! I'm so excited about the Gospel being spread and the growth that each of you are experiencing by stepping out on faith and leaving your comfort zones behind. By the way, I heard "He Reigns" by Newsboys this morning and I thought of ya'll. "It's the song of the redeemed rising from the African plain." We can hear that song half a world away. Be led by the Spirit and you will not be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteMuch love, Jordan.
